Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial processing and reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and month-end reporting packs
• Manage journals, accruals, provisions, and month-end accounting adjustments
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee and support the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Monitor cash flow and maintain effective financial administration processes
• Identify control weaknesses, investigate financial issues, and implement practical solutions
• Drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across the finance function
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights that support informed decision-making and improved business performance
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting or a related financial qualification

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8 years' accounting experience in a senior accounting or finance role
• Strong experience across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash flow management
• Proven experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms
• Exposure to a high-volume, operationally focused finance environment
• Demonstrated success in improving financial processes and strengthening internal controls
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a finance team
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
