Our client is looking for an experienced Project Controller to join their team and play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to agreed quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, maintain and monitor project plans and schedules.
- Track project milestones, deliverables and deadlines.
- Monitor actual progress against approved project schedules.
- Identify delays, bottlenecks and potential impacts on project delivery.
- Support critical-path and schedule analysis.
- Coordinate project updates with Project Managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Cost & Budget Control
- Develop and maintain project budgets and cost baselines.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Track actual costs, commitments, forecasts and remaining project costs.
- Identify and investigate budget variances.
- Prepare cost forecasts and cash-flow projections.
- Support corrective actions to minimise cost overruns.
- Monitor changes, variations and their impact on project costs.
Project Reporting
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly project reports.
- Develop project dashboards and management reports.
- Report on project progress, costs, schedule, risks and key performance indicators.
- Provide variance analysis and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Maintain accurate project data and documentation.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholder
Risk & Change Management
- Maintain project risk and issue registers.
- Identify potential cost, schedule and resource risks.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor project changes and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
- Escalate significant risks, delays and deviations to the Project Manager.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure project control processes are consistently followed.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
- Support project governance and stage-gate requirements.
- Ensure project information is accurate, complete and available for audits and reviews.
- Assist with implementing project control procedures and standards.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Operations and other departments.
- Coordinate project information from various stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and provide relevant project control information.
- Track action items and follow up on outstanding deliverables.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum: Diploma/Degree in Project Administration/Project Management/Business Administration or equivalent.
- Preferred: PMI-CAPM or PRINCE2 Foundation; short courses in Excel Advanced, SharePoint Administration, Agile fundamental
- Minimum: 3 – 5 years as a Project Coordinator or PMO Coordinator in a large enterprise.
- Preferred: Experience in State-Owned Enterprise
