Job Title : Truck Driver - Cape Town SCOPE & PURPOSE To deliver glass to our Customers in the most efficient possible way and to the highest quality standard of service.

Daily delivering of glass to and from Customers.

Deliver, collect and return glass to and from various Customers.

Accurate recording of various paper requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Good understanding of road workings in the areaVehicle must be regularly maintained and always clean inside and outComplete daily trip sheets accurately and honestlyComplete quality check sheetsDaily monitoring of vehicle and immediately report faultsThe ability to establish a good working relationship with people at all levels inside and outside the companyMust be honest and trustworthyAbility to work in a demanding, fast pace and pressurised working environmentMust have high physical and mental energy levelsFollow all works instructions, standard operating procedures and business rulesAdhere to environmental, safety and housekeeping standardsWilling to work overtime, weekends and shift rotation when requiredComplete quality check sheet while loadingLoad and offload in a safe mannerAssist where possible with control of paperworkAny other task requested by the Factory Services Manager to be carried out to the best of your abilityYou are not permitted to use your cell phone while driving.EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Matric

Code 10 or higher valid drivers licence with PrDP

EXPERIENCE Experience in handling and moving of dangerous goods

Experience in handling various types of glass products

Knowledge and understanding and reading of drawings and production orders

Necessary experience in glass handling and quality control

At least 2 years driving experience would be an advantage.

SKILLS Excellent interpersonal skills – effective in handling and interacting with customers

Proven analytical and numerical skills
