Financial Accountant

Description

A leading organisation in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant . This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced production environment where accuracy compliance and financial insight are key to supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs / GAAP .

Produce monthly quarterly and annual financial statements / management accounts .

Manage general ledger accounting journal entries and reconciliations .

Monitor accounts payable receivable and fixed assets .

Ensure compliance with tax VAT and other statutory requirements .

Assist with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis .

Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed.

Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

SAIPA / SAICA articles completed or in progress preferred.

3 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs tax and compliance regulations .

Proficiency in accounting software (SAP Pastel Oracle QuickBooks).

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical problem-solving and organisational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
