We are recruiting for a qualified and registered Tax Practitioner to join a professional accounting and tax practice based in Table View.
The successful candidate will manage individual tax matters, liaise directly with SARS and provide tax compliance services to clients.
This role requires strong tax knowledge, excellent administrative skills and the ability to work independently within a professional accounting environment.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit individual income tax returns.
• Manage SARS registrations, amendments, objections and tax compliance matters.
• Liaise directly with SARS regarding client queries and assessments.
• Assist clients with tax-related documentation and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate client records and tax files.
• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
• Prepare tax correspondence and reports.
• Provide general support to the accounting and tax team.
• Stay updated with SARS regulations and tax legislation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Tax Practitioner registered with SARS and a recognised controlling body, such as SAIT, SAIPA, SAICA or CIBA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in personal income tax administration and submissions.
• Strong working knowledge of SARS eFiling and SARS processes.
• Experience managing individual tax returns from preparation through to completion.
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Strong communication and client service abilities.
• Experience within an accounting or tax practice is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Must reside in or near Table View.

Advantageous:

• Experience with provisional tax returns.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Experience dealing with SARS audits, verifications and objections.
