Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting reporting requirements, strengthening controls, and providing valuable financial support to the wider business.
This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance, partnering with stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Manage cashbook, treasury, and cash flow-related functions
• Oversee creditor and debtor reporting and reconciliations
• Support payroll accounting and statutory compliance requirements
• Assist with audit preparation and financial control processes
• Drive process improvement and reporting enhancement initiatives

Job Experience and Skills Required
Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous
• Professional designation beneficial

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar commercial environment advantageous
• Strong exposure to management reporting and month-end processes
• Experience with reconciliations, compliance, payroll, and financial controls

Skills:

• Strong financial reporting and IFRS knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP systems experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment
• Leadership potential and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
