Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with strong bookkeeping and financial reporting skills? We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions within a dynamic environment.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and general ledger accounts
• Perform account reconciliations and balancing
• Process general journals
• Prepare accurate financial statements, including trial balance, income statement and balance sheet
• Verify source documents such as invoices and receipts
• Prepare financial reports and analyse account information and trends
• Track and maintain inventory records
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare payments
• Calculate and prepare VAT submissions and payments
• Assist with budget preparation and audits
• Maintain accurate financial filing systems
• Conduct monthly branch audits covering stock and assets
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Experience with Xero Accounting Software would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent planning, prioritisation and management skills
• Proactive, trustworthy and hardworking individual

Qualification:

• Accounting Degree or similar qualification
