A leading seafood import / export and distribution business is seeking a National Retail Key Accounts Manager to own and grow key national retail accounts. Youll drive turnover, profitability and portfolio growth while ensuring strict Food Safety and Quality compliance. The role involves managing senior retail relationships, overseeing stock performance, and leading sales reps across store and head-office level.
Key responsibilities
Deliver budgets, targets, turnover and profit growth for allocated accounts.
Drive full product range listings, promotions and sales into national retailers.
Build strong relationships with buyers, planners, merchandisers and ops teams.
Ensure on-time delivery, resolve issues swiftly, and act as main customer liaison.
Manage stock levels, forecasting, replenishment and SKU range growth.
Lead / supervise sales reps to meet service, budget and profitability goals.
Compile and present weekly / monthly sales, margin and performance reports.
Monitor competitor activity and report insights to Retail Sales Manager.
Minimum requirements
Matric; Degree in Sales / Marketing (essential).
SAP experience.
35 years FMCG Key Accounts experience managing national retailers.
Seafood industry experience advantageous.
Own reliable vehicle; able to travel locally.
