Engineering Manager Technology Management and Aviation Fuel Standards
Airports Company South Africa invites applications for the Engineering Manager Technology Management and Aviation Fuel Standards position (Mid‑Senior level, Full‑time).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and professional support by assessing and analysing problems or needs to propose optimal technical solutions and recommendations for airports.
- Compile management reports on SAF implementation, compliance with developed standards and training requirements regarding the adoption of standards and procedures.
- Accountable for the development / maintenance of relevant policies in CIAM & AFBT, developing and managing business processes and procedures.
- Identify, develop and propose appropriate advisory approaches, solutions and deliverables based on specialist requirements in the area of aviation fuels.
- Establish, monitor and manage healthy, diverse, workable internal and external relationships, including interfaces with external providers to ensure departmental and functional needs are met, organisational goals achieved and remedial actions implemented where required.
- Compile, manage and account for relevant budgets according to business requirements and specifications.
- Prepare clear and well‑presented technical content for inclusion in key project documents, e.g. feasibility studies, technical specifications.
- Develop / adopt standards and frameworks for the supply and storage of aviation fuels and into plane activities.
- Implement and manage people development processes such as performance management, succession planning and talent management to meet functional performance standards.
Technical Skills and Experience
Minimum Bachelor's Degree (4 years – 480 credits) in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Process – Essential.Master's Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical or Process – Advantageous.Six years of operational experience in technical research, linear programming or fuel quality management – Essential.Three years of management experience in coordination and implementation of multidisciplinary projects – Essential.Three years of supervisory experience in people management – Essential.Competencies
Computer literate – MS Office – Essential.Relationship building.Methodical approach.Knowledge of JIG Framework and related requirements.Application and Enquiries
