Purpose of the Role

To safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, move and store products within the warehouse, ensuring stock accuracy, productivity, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and offload pallets, trucks, and containers.
• Move and stack products in designated warehouse areas.
• Load products onto racks and retrieve stock when required.
• Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure careful handling of products to prevent damage.
• Conduct daily pre-use forklift inspections.
• Report forklift defects, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow warehouse procedures and stock movement instructions.
• Ensure correct stock movement as per picking slips/scanner instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the warehouse and work areas.
• Adhere to FMCG, food safety, and occupational health requirements.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
• Minimum 1-2 years' forklift operating experience.
• Experience in FMCG, warehouse, or distribution center advantageous.
• Experience in handling palletised goods.
