Join to apply for the Performance Creative Strategist (Sample Profiles) role at Somewhere
Duties And Responsibilities We’re seeking a Creative Strategist to drive the research, ideation, and execution of high-performing ads on Meta (Facebook / Instagram), with expansion into TikTok and YouTube. This is not just a “make 10 ads a week” role. You’ll be responsible for digging deep into customer psychology, online conversations, and performance data to uncover new angles, stories, and opportunities. You’ll run systematic GAP analyses of our ad account to identify what’s missing, collect and categorize top-performing ads across industries, and transform insights into creative briefs, hooks, and scripts. You must also be AI-native : fluent in tools like image / video generation platforms (Runway, Pika, Veo, Luma, Midjourney, etc.), custom GPTs, Claude Projects, and other LLM-powered workflows. You’ll use these to accelerate research, prototyping, and iteration. This is a hands-on role—you’ll be responsible for the research, strategy, and briefing that power our best-performing ads. You’ll collaborate with editors, designers, and media buyers, but the discovery of winning ideas and the translation into testable concepts will be yours to own.
Key Responsibilities
- Research customer insights across Reddit, TikTok Shop, forums, Amazon reviews, and ad comments to uncover new angles, objections, and use cases
- Perform recurring GAP analyses of the ad account to identify missing angles, audiences, and creative formats
- Collect and maintain a swipe file of top-performing ads across industries to inspire new creative directions
- Write creative briefs, hooks, and scripts rooted in storytelling and consumer psychology—not just trends
- Partner with editors, designers, and media buyers to test, analyze, and scale winning ads
- Prototype and pre-visualize concepts using AI platforms (Runway, Veo, Pika, Midjourney, etc.) to accelerate iteration
- Build and maintain custom GPTs and Claude Projects for research, script drafting, and angle generation
- Monitor performance (CTR, hold rate, CPA, MER, etc.) to understand why creatives work and guide next iterations
- Lead and contribute to weekly creative brainstorms and performance reviews
- Balance quick, low-fi experimentation with longer-form, problem-aware storytelling ads (VSLs, podcast-style, stitched winners)
