Responsibilities :
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks as well as petrol passenger vehicles
- Manage, maintain, and control the onsite workshop to ensure smooth daily operations
- Conduct scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and attend to mechanical breakdowns
- Travel when required to attend roadside or offsite breakdowns
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and company procedures
- Always uphold honesty and integrity, particularly when handling fuel and workshop resources
- Maintain accurate job cards, service reports, and records of work completed
- Provide input into improving workshop processes and vehicle uptime
Requirements :
Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal / Trade Test)Petrol mechanical experience will be an advantageValid Code 14 drivers licenceProven experience working on both heavy-duty trucks and passenger vehiclesStrong technical knowledge and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage a workshop environmentWillingness to be on standby and travel for breakdown calloutsStrong work ethic and reliabilityExcellent references from previous employers (essential)Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!!Skills and Attributes :
