SUMMARY:
Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Industry: Hospitality (Hotels, Lodges, Resorts, Guesthouses)
Location: South Africa
Reporting To: General Manager / Marketing Director

Job Purpose
To develop, implement, and manage digital marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, increase direct bookings, and enhance the online presence of the hospitality business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Strategy & Campaign Management
Develop and execute digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals
Manage online campaigns across multiple platforms (Google, social media, email)
Monitor campaign performance and optimize ROI
  • Website & Booking Optimization
Oversee website content, functionality, and user experience
Optimize website for conversions and direct bookings
Manage SEO and SEM strategies to improve search rankings
  • Social Media Management
Develop and manage social media content calendars
Grow and engage audiences on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Monitor trends and competitor activity
  • Content Creation & Branding
Coordinate high-quality content (images, videos, blogs, newsletters)
Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms
Work with photographers, designers, and agencies
  • Email Marketing & CRM
Design and execute email marketing campaigns
Manage customer databases and segmentation
Drive loyalty programs and repeat business
  • Analytics & Reporting
Track KPIs such as website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI
Use tools like Google Analytics and reporting dashboards
Provide monthly performance reports with actionable insights
  • Online Reputation Management
Monitor and respond to online reviews (TripAdvisor, Google, Booking.com)
Maintain positive brand image and guest engagement
  • Partnerships & Distribution Channels
Manage OTA platforms (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb)
Collaborate with influencers, travel agents, and partners

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field
Relevant certifications (Google Ads, SEO, Social Media Marketing) advantageous
Experience
3–5 years’ experience in digital marketing (hospitality preferred)
Proven track record in managing successful digital campaigns
Experience with booking engines and OTA platforms

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital advertising
Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and CRM systems
Creative thinking and content development skills
Excellent communication and copywriting ability
Data-driven decision-making
Strong project management and organizational skills
