Job descriptionLed network modeling efforts to analyze current and future states of the distribution network. Worked on optimizing distribution models to balance fleet utilization, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Evaluated closed distribution networks and their impact on service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Conducted feasibility studies to assess the viability and impact of new accounts or consignee sets within the distribution network. Provided data-driven recommendations to management regarding business expansion and fleet performance optimization. Analyzed key account volume contributions and stop-count trends to understand profitability shifts. Led business intelligence initiatives aimed at increasing transparency and driving innovation. Developed analytical models and reporting frameworks to support executive decision-making. Played a key role in presenting insights and findings to senior management, influencing strategic direction. Grade 12 Knowledge of transportation / warehouse management systems. Business knowledge (understanding of SLA’s, KPI’s SOP’s). 3 - 5 years of fleet management 7 - 10 years' experience in the Logistics Industry 5 years experience in a Senior role
Purpose : Â
The successful candidate will provide provided high-level oversight and strategic input to ensure that daily planning and master data management processes ran effectively. While not officially a team lead, you will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by ensuring that both the Planner and Master Data Manager are on track with their tasks and aligning their work with broader business objectives.
High-Level Oversight Support :
- Monitored daily planning activities, ensuring they aligned with strategic goals.
- Provided guidance on fleet distribution strategies and operational decision-making.
- Assisted with troubleshooting planning-related challenges, particularly during critical times, to support smooth operations for the following day.
