Youll play a critical role in supporting advanced engineering programmes by managing the full procurement lifecycle:
- End-to-End Procurement Management
Source and procure materials, precision-machined components, consumables, and services - Supplier Negotiation & Optimisation
Secure the best commercial terms across pricing, quality, delivery, and support - Supplier Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers - Strategic Sourcing Decisions
Evaluate suppliers and sourcing channels based on technical and commercial requirements - Operational Procurement Execution
Manage RFQs, purchase orders, delivery tracking, logistics, claims, and invoicing - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, finance, project management, and quality teams - Quality & Compliance Oversight
Address supplier non-conformances and drive corrective actions - Risk Management
Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and shortages - Supplier Governance
Maintain supplier databases, conduct evaluations, and perform audits - Cost & Performance Analysis
Drive cost improvements and benchmark supplier performance
🎯 What Youll Bring
Were looking for a commercially astute professional with strong technical understanding:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years experience in procurement or supply chain (preferably in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment)
- Strong understanding of sourcing within technical/engineering sectors
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of Import/Export regulations and INCOTERMS
- Understanding of quality and environmental standards
- Experience in supplier management, compliance, and inventory processes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
