General Litigation Attorney (3–5 Years Post Admission)

Law firm is seeking a well-rounded General Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Alberton. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ post-admission experience, with a proven track record in general litigation and family law. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute matters related to general litigation, including but not limited to civil disputes, contractual matters, personal injury, and property disputes
- Handle family law cases including divorce, maintenance, custody, and related proceedings
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, contracts, and affidavits
- Represent clients in court, prepare for hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in relation to litigation and family law
- Communicate and negotiate with clients, counsel, and opposing parties
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and legal developments
Required Qualifications & Experience
- LLB degree and Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- Minimum of 3–5 years post-admission experience in general litigation and family law
- Solid courtroom and negotiation skills
- Strong drafting and legal research abilities
- Able to manage own caseload independently and efficiently
- Experience in handling divorce, maintenance, and custody matters
