Senior Advisor Trading Operations

Introduction

• Task Grade: G15 Area of specialization: To procure and sell power by entering short term energy trades in internal and external electricity markets within the approved trading mandates to maximise the gain for Eskom, division and department, implement signed bilateral contracts such as scheduling of bilateral trades and wheeling corridors, monitor, commensurate analysis, reporting functions trading activities to optimise these and to ensure compliance with the relevant policies, procedures, contracts and management instructions. Represent Eskom, division and the department to SAPP committees and forums. Outage planning, coordination, and monitoring with various stakeholders for the benefit of Eskom, Business Unit: Energy Market Services Location: Simmerpan - Germiston, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) markets.
• Implement bilateral contracts.

Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• B Degree/B Tech/Advanced Diploma/National Higher Diploma in Finance/Economics/Engineering/Statistics/ Communication Science/Accounting/Business Management at NQF7 with 360 Credits

Experience

• Related 5 years’ experience in Trading, purchasing and selling energy experience
