Refrigeration Technician

An industry leader is looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join their team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial refrigeration systems—because when things heat up, you’re the one who keeps it cool.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

• Perform routine maintenance and fault-finding on refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns to keep operations running (and products cold)
• Install and commission new refrigeration equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with the team to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency
• Carry out compressor overhauls, maintenance, and performance checks

• Solid experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigeration and compressor systems
• Proven ability to install and commission refrigeration and cooling units
• Skilled in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and control faults
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental standards
• Team player who can work effectively with clients and colleagues to keep things running smoothly

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial refrigeration
• Proven track record with compressor maintenance and repairs
• Red Seal / Trade Test Certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Valid SAQCC Gas – Category B8 (Ammonia refrigeration)
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (because breakdowns don’t keep office hours)
