JOB TITLE: Blockman / Butcher Assistant Location: Benoni Chain Grocery store Salary: R10,000 R12,000 Overview: We are looking for a Blockman / Butcher Assistant to join a busy retail butchery. This role supports the butchery team with meat preparation, cutting, packaging, and general counter duties. Key Responsibilities: Assist with cutting and portioning of meat according to standard cuts Prepare, pack, label, and price meat products Ensure shelves and display counters are well stocked and neatly presented Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the butchery Assist customers when required and follow instructions from senior butchers Requirements: Previous experience as a Blockman, Butcher Assistant, or similar role Basic knowledge of meat cuts and handling Able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills in English Reliable and willing to work retail hours Note: Candidates with full Butcher experience are also welcome to apply.
