Technical Project Engineer Uitenhage

TECHNICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – 12 MONTH CONTRACT UITENHAGE

(Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Uitenhage or Port Elizabeth)

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer qualifications
• Experience within the automotive/automation industry

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• In-depth knowledge of production processes, layouts, and facilities.
• Excellent insight into total company Engineering, planning, manufacturing systems, and pre-calculated costing practices.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Good analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
• Assertive with facilitation skills.
• Ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels.
• Extremely motivated, flexible, and able to perform in stressful environments.
• Working knowledge of Technical German Language.
• Willingness to travel internationally at short notice.

JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Formulating and compiling detailed product specifications.
• Keeping projects on budget.
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring engineering projects.
• Problem identification and resolution.
• Cooperating and communicating effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Managing project issues, risks, and actions.
• Managing project changes to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessments of results.
