Job description

Job Title: Pricing Specialist

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to join our client's dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing strategy and analysis, focusing on maximizing profitability and driving business growth through effective pricing decisions. This role reports to the Pricing Manager and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that drive profitability and revenue growth
  • Conduct competitive pricing analysis to identify market trends and opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to optimize pricing for different customer segments
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate pricing recommendations and insights to key stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in pricing strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing analysis or strategy
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is a plus
