SHE & RIsk Officer, East London

We are seeking a SHE & Risk Officer

Reference: EL002690-Bronw-1
Location: East London, Eastern Cape
Salary: R25 800.00 per month CTC

Duties & Responsibilities

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12, with Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) / NQF L7 essential
• Up to 6 years experience in H&S, environmental, risk assessments FMCG / Legal compliance
• Good computer literacy on MS Office
• Must have SAMTRAC and FMCG industry experience with food safety practices

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Establish / maintain SHER framework and implement awareness initiatives / communications
• Ensure SHER compliance – identify on-site risks, handle inspections, implement corrective action and compile reports
• SHER mitigating actions – recommend actions; assist with developing plans; collaborate with management; assist with conducting assessments
• Adherence to quality, food safety, health, safety and environmental standards – ensure strict adherence; enforce all regulations; contamination control; handle training
• Actively participate in operational planning & budgeting processes
• Drive continuous improvement and control costs
