Chief Financial Officer

An innovative business within the technology sector is looking for a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial strategy and support the next stage of growth.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a CA(SA) who understands the pace, complexity and commercial demands of the technology environment. The CFO will partner with the executive team, provide strategic financial direction and ensure the business has the financial infrastructure and insight required to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy, planning and performance management of the organisation, providing clear financial insight to the executive team and board.
• Oversee the full finance function, including financial reporting, cash flow, controls, budgeting, forecasting and governance.
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team on growth strategy, investment decisions, commercial opportunities and long-term business planning.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Education: CA(SA).
• Experience: Minimum 8 years’ post-articles experience, with significant experience in a senior financial leadership role.
• Proven experience within technology, software, IT, telecommunications or another technology-driven environment.
• Strong commercial and strategic finance experience, ideally within a high-growth or entrepreneurial business.
• Experience engaging with executive leadership, boards, investors and key stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial strategy, governance, risk, cash flow and business performance.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial/ERP systems.
