Junior Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolve is inviting applications for the role of Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in beautiful Cape Town. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project teams to assist in the management of costs and budgets for a variety of construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
• Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs
• Support in managing and reviewing project contracts and specifications
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
• Monitor project progress and provide timely updates on cost variances and risks
• Compile project documentation, including proposals and variance reports
• Participate in meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress and financial status

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying
• Preferably coming from a Quantity Surveying Firm
• Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools, such as WinQS and CCS
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
