Sales Representative (Mechanical Seals, couplings, filtration, packaging)

Introduction

Seeking a seasoned Sales Representative within the mechanical seal industry.
Reporting to the regional manager, this is a sales-driven, sales-focused role. Maintaining existing customers, sales growth, and increasing the market share will be paramount to the success of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Be responsible for achieving the short, medium- and long-term sales and orders objectives for the sales area located in the Richard Bay region to meet and exceed business targets.
• Establish and maintain contracts across the region for the successful and profitable management of the region.
• Establish strategic alliances with end-users, cultivating long-term commitment and co-operation for mutual benefit and added value.
• Implement the business development plans for sales areas in line with the company's strategic direction for the region.
• Liaise with various technical departments to provide engineered solutions/advice to end users.
• Prospect for new accounts and establish new accounts.
• Continuous visitations to end users to meet customer needs.
• Support and supervise installation of products when required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Qualified to at least an engineering degree. Any additional business qualifications would be an advantage.
• 5-10 years' experience in the mechanical seal industry with a proven track record in strategic selling in a complex/technical/commercial environment.

• High levels of mental toughness and proven abilities to handle complex, fast-moving, and challenging commercial issues in a robust operating environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
