IT Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking an energetic and skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for our clients' IT systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our client’s network infrastructure, operating systems, cybersecurity measures, and cloud computing platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking protocols, have proficiency in various operating systems, possess knowledge of cybersecurity principles, and cloud system support.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Note: This is not a remote position. You will be required to travel to clients. This position is based in Johannesburg (JHB), and you should reside in JHB.

Must have own transport (car) and be able to commute to work and client locations.

Must be energetic and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must be able to support and troubleshoot Office 365 admin, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange online, and Teams. You will be tested on this.

VoIP

Strong understanding of VoIP services and troubleshooting is a must.

Networking

Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, routing, and security. Knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Cloud networking. Familiarity with FortiGate, Sophos, and MikroTik.

Operating Systems

Proficiency in various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, macOS, and their administration. Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.

Cybersecurity

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and tools. Understanding of encryption, authentication, intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.

Qualifications (Advantageous)

• A+ Certification
• N+ Certification
• MCSE Certification

Other Requirements

• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Package & Remuneration

Package will be market related.
