Job description
Our client in the Telecommunications industry is looking for an UC/AV Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Support of Audio-Visual equipment
- Providing remote/telephonic support
- Advanced fault-finding
- Must be able to work independently and alone on‑site support
- Preparing equipment, cabling and consumables for installations according to the solution required
- Preparing properly before attending to a site
- Installation of Audio-Visual equipment
- Installation of cabling and determining cable runs
- Termination of all Audio-Visual cabling according to best practice standards
- Video Conferencing and Audio-Visual Equipment Configuration
- Mounting of Audio-Visual equipment on any surface required
- Neatening and labelling racks
- Implementing solutions according to technical schematics
- Adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Keeping an installation site neat and clean
- Comprehensive knowledge of proper tool usage and tool management
- Manage and take responsibility for Equipment (laptop etc.)
- Managing a UC installation team daily and within the field or on site
- Liaising with suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues
- Must be available to work overtime when required
- Must be available to travel for installations when required
- Completing training when required
- Important to complete site audit reports and job-reporting after project completion
- Feedback to Technical Coordinator regarding job progress (must always be available and continuous communication with the Technical Coordinator is important)
- Ensure that the proper documentation is kept - site sign‑off, delivery notes etc. and saved in the relevant folders on the server.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate
- Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards
- Minimum 2-4 year's Audio-Visual Experience
- Strong knowledge of Audio-Visual Systems
- AMX, Crestron and Extron qualifications
- Proof of technical skills and experience
- Must have valid driver's license.
