Electrical Engineer Position

An established, successful company in Durbanville is looking for the services of an electrical engineer to join their innovative team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Project management
2. Operate in line with the Digital Way of Working (DWOW)
3. Preparation/management of specifications, schedules, estimates, progress reports, meeting agendas and minutes, procurement issues
4. Electrical engineering and design during all project phases according to client, national and international standards
5. Ability to objectively evaluate both technically and commercially, different options based upon project objectives/requirements
6. Cost estimation of electrical engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costs
7. Proposals, Expression of Interests and tendering
8. Budgetary and financial responsibility for projects
9. Collaborate with local and international teams

Minimum Experience & Qualification Required

1. BSc/BEng/BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Professional registration with ECSA
3. 3 to 5 Years post graduate relevant experience
4. Revit/BIM experience
5. Thorough knowledge of the OHS Act (SANS and IEC codes)
6. Good communication and people management skills
7. Ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders at all levels
8. An intimate knowledge of local and international standards and codes
9. Able to develop engineering documentation from first principles
10. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Access and MS Project
11. Well acquainted with local equipment, manufacturers, suppliers and installation contractors
