Director of Wind Technology

Earthstream Global is currently recruiting on behalf of an international IPP who are looking for a Director of Wind Technology.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters would be advantageous).
• Proven experience in wind technology, wind farm development, or a related field, with a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience.
• Knowledge of grid compliance and the grid code of South Africa.
• GMR 2.1 certification.
• In-depth knowledge of wind energy technology, wind turbine systems, and relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Review and implement plant maintenance programs.
• Continuously analyze and optimize the performance of existing wind technologies. Implement data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency, output, and reliability of wind turbines and related systems.
• Review plant needs, conduct failure analysis, develop emergency action plans, define plant improvements, and encourage innovation among plant personnel.
