Duties & Responsibilities

Job & Company Description:
The company is a South African fintech firm with a primary mission of catering to marginalised populations. Their specialised banking and payment technologies enable them to provide financial services to both consumers and merchants across Southern Africa. For consumers, they offer a range of banking, lending, and insurance solutions. They provide formal and informal retail merchants with cash management services, advanced bill payment technology, value-added services, business funding, and card acquiring solutions.

Job Experience & Skills Required

Job Experience:

• Prepare financial reporting
• The ability to analyse financial data, interpret trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience in implementing or upgrading financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Ability to analyse and control costs across different business functions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation
• Skills in managing cash flow, liquidity, and investments to optimize financial performance and minimize financial risk
• Leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-boundary skills are essential

Qualifications:

• Qualified CA(SA)

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years Financial Management experience
• Minimum 10 years experience in financial services
