Overview

Main Purpose To design, manage, and optimise hybrid ICT infrastructure (cloud and on-premises), ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient operation aligned with COBIT-19, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001, and CGICTPF governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or Network Engineering.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification.
• VMware VCP / CompTIA Server+ / Network+ (or equivalent).
• ITIL Foundation and COBIT-19 (advantageous).

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in hybrid ICT infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and enterprise storage.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery implementation experience.
• Exposure to SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud cost optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, and Azure environments.
• Oversee email, collaboration, and storage systems.
• Maintain ≥ 99.1% system availability.
• Manage networks (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN) and secure hybrid integrations.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Monitor performance, optimise costs, and implement automation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, POPIA, PFMA, and ICT governance frameworks.
• Manage service providers and ensure SLA compliance.
• Provide infrastructure performance reports to management.

Core Competencies

• Strong Azure IaaS/PaaS and Microsoft 365 expertise.
• Advanced Windows Server and virtualisation skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, ISO 27001, ITIL, and COBIT.
• Analytical, reliable, and solutions-driven.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
