Senior Group Accountant Cape Town: Northern Suburbs

We are seeking a Senior Group Accountant with a minimum of five years post-articles experience in a complex multi-currency environment performing consolidations. Strong analytical skills and a passion for finance is what you need to join this dynamic, forward-thinking company.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Senior Group Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Preparing accounting analysis for intricate contracts and transactions.
2. Delivering technical training sessions and helping with the development of online training tools.
3. Ensuring the compliance of Group Technical Accounting Policies and acting as the contact point for any queries.
4. Providing technical accounting advice and support to the regional finance teams on complex accounting issues.
5. Being involved in the group year-end audit processes, which includes reviewing and adjusting financial data to ensure compliance.
6. Contributing to other key finance initiatives as required.
7. Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis across global entities and supporting ongoing enhancement of balance sheet control processes.

Skills & Experience:

A professional finance designation such as PA(SA), CA(SA), ACMA/CGMA, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years post-article experience.
Proven experience in year-end group consolidation processes.
Working knowledge of FRS102.
Multi-currency experience.

Qualification:

Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
Relevant finance degree.
