Duties & Responsibilities

Are you a legal professional looking to advance your career in the financial services industry? Our client, a leading Level 1 BBBEE Intermediary, is seeking a talented Legal Manager to join their team. In this pivotal role within their Business Enablement Department, you'll report directly to the CFO with a direct line to the CEO. As a Legal Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping strategic development while providing expert legal guidance across various business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting and vetting legal documentation
2. Providing strategic legal advice on transactions and structuring
3. Managing contractual claims, disputes, and litigation
4. Identifying legal risks and formulating mitigation strategies
5. Staying abreast of legislative changes and case law
6. Engaging with internal and external legal resources
7. Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations

Key Requirements:

1. B-degree in Law or LLB; admitted attorney or advocate
2. Minimum 5 years post-articles experience, with 1 year in-house in financial services
3. General corporate commercial background
4. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
