Job description

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the vehicle functions (body, powertrain, chassis, electrical)
  • Ability to process and analyse complex data
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate and present at all levels within the organization
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work independently
  • Be able to make informed decisions in appointing accountability on behalf of the group

ADDED ADVANTAGE

  • Knowledge of Konzern systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in new projects with the establishment of product safety. The target is a complete implementation of actions/ corrective actions to vehicle safety requirements for the prevention of repeat failures using the product safety catalogue (lessons learnt)
  • Inspecting pre-series units in conjunction with other Q-type responsible PSBs to expedite safety-relevant problem recognition and corrective action implementation
  • Undertaking regular vehicle and line checks to evaluate current production (parts, part assemblies and sub-assemblies), and obtain corrective actions for any potential safety-relevant problems detected
  • Representing the interest of the Quality Assurance Department during technical discussions with the Service and the Product Safety Committee
  • Ensuring/ initiating and/ or assisting in the establishment of corrective action to resolve the problem, tracking monitoring of the implementation of agreed actions and verification of the effectiveness within the production/ field with the Service Department
