IoT and Systems Specialist

An established organisation is seeking an IoT and Systems Specialist to manage IoT devices and system integrations, and to design IoTâdriven solutions based on client requirements. The role involves working across device integration, communication technologies, system processes, and application design while collaborating closely with developers and infrastructure teams.

This position requires strong technical ability, handsâon troubleshooting skills, and the ability to translate business needs into effective IoT and system designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain IoT and edge devices (RFID, BLE, LTE, GPS, and NFC).
• Monitor and troubleshoot IoT device connectivity, performance, and reliability.
• Design and document endâtoâend IoT processes from client requirements to system implementation.
• Integrate communication technologies, including serial, ethernet, WiâFi, RFID, BLE, NFC, and mesh networks.
• Support GPS and mapping solutions and locationâbased services.
• Design and evaluate hardware solutions based on cost, capability, and constraints.
• Support Windows desktop environments and system maintenance.
• Contribute to mobile app and user interface design for IoT solutions.
• Support barcode technologies, label design, and device reader integrations.
• Test and validate IoT, RFID, and NFC solutions and document outcomes.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 35 years experience in IoT systems management and systems integration.
  • Proven experience managing IoT devices, edge, and mobile systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols and GPS technology.
  • Experience with hardware design and evaluation.
  • Mobile device and barcode integration experience.
  • Exposure to edge and app software design and UI development.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and risk management.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages and environments.
• Professional Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Clear communication and documentation abilities.
  • Detailâoriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
