Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Oversee financial accounts by ensuring accurate debtors, creditors, and general ledger.
2. Oversee the management reporting process.
3. Oversee the compilation of Annual Financial statements.
4. Act as liaison with external auditors.
5. Responsible for payroll input (financial) and accounting, including:

• Deductions
• UIF
• IRP5s
• WCA

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

Diploma in Accounting or NQF equivalent.

Experience

1. 10 to 15 years’ experience in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
2. Experience handling a range of routine financial activities, such as payroll, billing, and support to accounting clerks and administrators.
3. Experience managing large volumes of routine financial transactions in payroll and handling associated documents.
4. Experience in the preparation of documents for all SARS submissions and declarations, as well as pension fund documents.
5. Financial reporting to trial balance level.
6. Proficient in Sage300 Payroll Software.
7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
8. Strong payroll accounting skills.
9. Analytical thinking.
10. Interpersonal, team, and relationship-building skills.
11. Ability to lead, guide, and mentor.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
13. Ability to take initiative and make decisions under pressure.
14. Ability to adapt to changing business environments/requirements.
15. Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards.
