Currently, we are looking for a sales director to look after all distribution sales in our Johannesburg branch. This role will include the responsibility oversight of our inland sales reps for Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Free State and the Northern Cape.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building solid relationships with customers, vendors and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • Assessing marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs) and researching emerging trends to recommend new company offerings that satisfy customers’ needs.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.
  • Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.
  • Builds cross‑functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long‑term growth.
  • Help shape the company’s long‑term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
  • Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
  • Develop initiatives to reach end users through partners and work with sales team to develop tools and collateral to support them.
  • Explore new business opportunities to help grow the company.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master’s degree is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years’ sales or marketing experience.
  • 3-5 years’ supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the CCTV industry.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
