Are you a highly versatile finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment? We are seeking a dedicated Group Accountant to join a prominent family-owned investment holding company.

In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the CFO / Financial Director, you will manage the comprehensive financial affairs of the holding company and its diverse subsidiaries across South Africa and the wider African continent (including Lesotho, Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya).

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, perform reasonableness analysis, and consolidate group financial results to identify trends and risks.
• Operational Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card processing, and petty cash.
• Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Execute full payroll processing and ensure all statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, Income Tax, and W.C.A.) are submitted and paid accurately and on time.
• Investment & Fundraising Support: Assist the CFO with financial modeling for new acquisitions (IRR, payback), preparing investment memoranda, and supporting debt/equity funding processes.
• Asset & Loan Management: Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure all inter-company loan accounts between various entities are reconciled and up to date.
• Office & Subsidiary Management: Oversee daily office operations, manage support staff (drivers/housekeepers), and travel to regional subsidiaries as required.
