Forklift Driver

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join their team based in Somerset West, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years’ forklift driving experience, a Matric qualification, and a valid forklift license. The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with prior experience in a manufacturing and production environment being essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3–5 years’ experience as a forklift driver.
• Matric qualification with a valid forklift license.
• Forklift license required.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a production environment.

DUTIES:

• Operate a forklift safely and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Load and offload goods from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
• Transport raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse or production facility.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch accurately and on time.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
