Job descriptionMinimum requirements: Qualifications - B.Com Accounting, Finance or related degree (essential) - Experience - Minimum 57 years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role - Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong BOM and production costing knowledge - Experience working in or supporting a franchise or multi-site retail business (highly advantageous) - Demonstrated ability to produce individual business unit or store-level P&Ls - Proven payroll management experience using Payspace, VIP or similar - Solid understanding of South African tax legislation, SARS e-filing and statutory compliance - Proficiency in accounting software such as Syspro - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modelling and pivot tables Financial Management & Reporting - Oversee the full accounting function: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations - Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and variance analysis for the CFO - Manage daily cash flow, forecasting and working capital across all business channels - Prepare and submit all statutory returns: VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and income tax to SARS on time - Coordinate the annual external audit and serve as the primary liaison with auditors - Develop/Assist and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts by department and business unit - Design and enforce internal financial controls, policies and approval frameworks - Support the CFO with board reporting, investor presentations and financial modelling - Maintain accurate product costing models reflecting raw materials, labour, overheads and wastage - Monitor and investigate production cost variances and drive corrective action with the factory team - Oversee stock control, raw material procurement finance, cycle counts and annual stock takes - Track and report on manufacturing KPIs: yield rates, material utilisation, cost-per-unit and production margins - Collaborate with procurement to negotiate supplier terms and manage landed cost calculations - Oversee and review the full monthly payroll for all manufacturing, retail and head office employees - Ensure accurate processing of earnings, deductions, commissions, overtime and statutory contributions - Submit EMP201 and EMP501 reconciliations to SARS and manage PAYE compliance - Manage Employment Equity, COIDA, SETA reporting and ensure compliance according to regulations - Maintain payroll records, ensure confidentiality and adhere to relevant bargaining council agreements Consultant: Mellissa Rambally - Dante Personnel Johannesburg
