Senior Accountant Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Full Accounting Function
• Responsible for year-end audit
• Be active in providing accurate information for year-end audits
• SARS E-filing and submissions of VAT201 and EMP201 and EMP501 returns

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Knowledge and experience in Sage Accounting
• Preferably Bachelor’s degree - BCom Accounting
• 5 or more years’ experience
• Analytical with strong attention to detail
• Computer Literacy is a requirement
• MS Office Suite with proficiency in Excel
• Payroll
• Audit articles - SAICA or SAIPA
