Procurement Officer

A large manufacturing company is looking for an organised and energetic Procurement Officer with the following knowledge and experience:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process internal requisitions for local orders
• Placing and receipting of International orders
• Expediting orders, following up with freight companies and suppliers
• Sourcing of current and new products
• Plan and co-ordinate the freight movement and custom clearance of cargo
• Costing of freight and stock
• Manage communication between suppliers and production management team
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate best pricing
• Attend daily production meetings with feedback from suppliers or communicate any procurement issues or delays

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Certificate or Diploma in Procurement
• Strong PC knowledge and experience
• Must be able to work in a pressurised environment
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• A detail and action orientated individual
• Knowledge of Syspro an advantage
• Experience with import procedures
• Forecasting experience

Package & Remuneration

Salary: R12000 to R15000 Gross per month
