Job Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting and tax function of client portfolio.
• Produce monthly management reports.
• Full accounting function to trial balance.
• Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on CaseWare.
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner, adhering to workplace etiquette.
• Prepare and submit:
  • Income tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • Provisional tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
• Attend to all SARS correspondence competently.
• File notices of objections and suspension of debt on e-filing.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification

• Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma (non-negotiable).
• Completed articles.
• Affiliations to SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, and SAIBA are preferred.

Experience

• Working knowledge of Pastel.
• At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.
• Knowledge of CaseWare and Pastel is imperative.
• Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters.
• Experience with e-filing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and own vehicle (non-negotiable).
• The candidate will be required to travel to clients at various locations.
