Leading Clearing & Forwarder Seeks Estimator for Air Freight Department

We are looking for a well-versed estimator to support our air freight department.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support sales efforts through the preparation of accurate and relevant Air Import and Export estimates for clients and requests from within the company, and follow through on estimates to closure.
• Provide commercial insight through the evaluation of estimate results to improve company tender strike rate and competitiveness.
• Provide administrative support, including the creation and maintenance of estimates and estimate tracker.
• Develop and establish relationships by providing administrative support to key stakeholders, specifically origin offices and various sales units and staff.
• Generate sales leads and distribute these to the respective Sales teams/management while ensuring that these leads have been attended to.
• Facilitate and address all inter-branch queries and proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding rates/estimates.
• Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility comply with current legal and company-specific regulations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Knowledge of the clearing and forwarding industry, including all service offerings and commercial terms (Incoterms).
• Relevant Diploma with a high level of numerical ability and 5 years of experience in an operational capacity in International Freight.
