  • Qualification as Nuclear Medicine Radiographer
  • Current registration with HPCSA
  • Own reliable transport
  • Availability to be on call and to work after hours as required
  • Sound knowledge of hot lab operation and maintenance, radiopharmaceutical administration and nuclear medicine imaging procedures
  • Skill and patience in patient care and communicating with patients
  • Knowledge of and attention to radiation protection, infection control and all other aspects of patient- and staff safety in a nuclear medicine department
  • Knowledge of quality control and care of gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to take on administrative and reception tasks as required

The main purpose of this position:

  • Our clients practice comprises two sites
  • Our patients represent all walks of life and present a widely varying range of pathologies
  • Our after-hours work is very limited and rotated between the radiographers
  • The position will suit an enthusiastic candidate, wanting to join a warm and friendly team who enjoy working together
  • The attractive location of the practices, in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, is an additional benefit
