An industry leading Bank has an exciting opportunity available for an Architect to join their dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose Statement

• Design and implement end-to-end solutions for card management and transaction switching systems.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define system requirements and business goals.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers.

Experience

• At least 5 years’ relevant end to end design and development experience.
• Proven experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and business process modeling.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and security protocols.
• Experience in cloud computing environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps practices.
• 3-5 years’ experience working with Card Management Systems.
• Proficient with Amazon Web Services.
• Linux Server.
• SQL Server/Postgres/Oracle.
• C#/Java.
• Familiar with containerization technologies.
• A thorough understanding of PCI DSS and ISO8583.

Qualifications
Minimum:

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.

Ideal or Preferred:

• A relevant qualification in Information Technology.

Knowledge
Min:
Must have detailed knowledge of:

• System architecture (technical design and implementation processes).
• Systems analysis and design.
• UML or equivalent modelling language.
• Technical Test Plan Design.
• IT systems development processes.
• Application development.
• Standards and governance.

Ideal:
Detailed knowledge of:

• Banking systems.
• Agile development life cycle.
• Knowledge of UML.

Solid understanding of:

• Bank’s systems environment.
• Bank business model.
• Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA).
• Object-Oriented Development environment (i.e. Java, Spring Framework, JBoss).
