Job Description
We are seeking a driven Management Accountant to anchor the financial integrity of our client’s core African operations from their headquarters. This is more than just reporting; it’s a succession opportunity where your analytical skills will directly shape operational strategy and compliance for an international entity. You will be the key partner to operations, ensuring robust cost control and accurate reporting that meets the stringent standards of an AIM-listed company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, delivering insightful variance analysis to drive performance improvements.
- Spearhead budgeting and forecasting cycles, establishing rigorous cost control measures across African subsidiaries.
- Monitor and report on critical operational and capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Act as the primary finance liaison with operations, procurement, and group finance teams to streamline processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to both internal financial policies and external regulatory reporting requirements.
- Contribute actively to the continuous enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools for greater efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CIMA/GCMA Registered (Essential)
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in management or cost accounting in the manufacturing/mining sector.
- Proven proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
