Job description

Financial Manager

Our client is one of the country’s leading fruit exporters, recruiting for a Financial Manager. This position offers a rewarding career to a dynamic individual, who is motivated by high performance environments. Reporting to the Assistant Business Manager: Finance, you will be based at our Cape Town offices (Tygervalley-area).

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) include:

  1. Manage all payments to our Fruit Suppliers:
    1. Ensure on time and correct payment to our valued Fruit Suppliers
    2. Main contact between Finance and Fruit Suppliers
    3. Forecasting of Cash Estimates for weekly Fruit Suppliers payments
    4. Submission of Breeding Club Declarations
  2. Manage credit facility and credit risk to our Fruit Suppliers – mainly advances and seasonal production:
    1. Ensure all documents are in place for Due Diligence and Payback Analysis
    2. Create loan agreements and ensure accurate T&C’s
    3. FICA and NCR compliance
  3. GL Reconciliations - Timeous Review and Completion of Fruit Suppliers Related GL Recons
  4. Monthly Reporting - Contribution to accurate & timeous monthly and annual financial reporting

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education & Experience:

  1. Minimum 8-10 years middle financial management experience
  2. Experience in the Fruit Export Industry will be an advantage
