Technical Audit Specialist

Our dynamic team in the gambling industry, located in the North of Johannesburg, is currently searching for a talented Technical Audit Specialist to join us. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the utmost standards of integrity and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include ensuring strict adherence to established industry standards and regulations through meticulous technical audits. Your expertise significantly contributes to upholding the high levels of compliance necessary for the ethical and efficient operation of our activities.

Duties:

1. Maintain a working knowledge of jurisdictional requirements for certification of technical gambling systems
2. Stay updated on new/changed regulations and communicate such changes to internal stakeholders promptly
3. Analyze compliance requirements for various online gambling jurisdictions
4. Develop and maintain a knowledge source for regulated market requirements
5. Provide guidance on the interpretation of regulations
6. Advise senior management on recommended approaches to certification processes and testing in operational markets
7. Assume ownership over the development and workflow of work programs for new market certification testing
8. Enhance the quality and versions of work programs used by compliance auditors for multiple jurisdictions
9. Draft and maintain template reports and certificates for compliance auditors' use
10. Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance functions for various documents
11. Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing methodology for new markets and across regulated markets
12. Develop audit methodology and formal audit process documentation for regulatory compliance audits in new markets
13. Improve audit methodology and documentation for regulatory compliance audits in current markets
14. Train staff on audit methodology and formal audit processes
15. Conduct regular checks on regulated market updates and incorporate changes into audit methodology and processes
16. Manage technical queries associated with compliance requirements and communicate relevant information to staff
17. Assist in training new joiners to RCS regarding audit methodologies and jurisdictional requirements
18. Implement efficiencies in M-files to streamline the reporting process for RCS members

Job Experience & Skills Required

Qualifications:

1. Matric (Grade 12)
2. BCom Accounting / BCom Financial Accounting / BCom Informatics

Experience:

1. 2 years' IT/internal audit experience gained at an auditing firm
2. High-level understanding of legal and regulatory requirements

Skills & Competencies:

1. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
2. Keen attention to detail and accuracy
3. Proficiency in MS Office suite
4. Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills
