Lodge Manager (Fixed-Term Contract – 12 Months)

We are looking for an experienced, hands‑on Lodge Manager to run a private, non‑commercial lodge in a remote bush setting. You will oversee full lodge operations, guest satisfaction, team leadership, kitchen management, and property maintenance. Couples applications are welcome.

Requirements

• 4–5 years’ management experience in a 4–5 star lodge environment
• Functional experience across all lodge departments
• Hospitality Degree/Diploma (preferred)
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Computer literate
• Valid Driver’s License with PDP
• Strong references and stable work history
• Qualified chef or strong cooking ability (essential)
• Exceptional guest relations, leadership, and organisational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day lodge operations and team
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, including check-in/out, activities, and excursions
• Plan, cook, and present meals while managing kitchen hygiene and stock
• Oversee housekeeping, reception, dining, and bar services
• Conduct inventory, stock control, and procurement
• Manage maintenance, safety, and security protocols
• Lead by example in a hands‑on, physically active role
